Northeast Kansas Hit By Spring Snowstorm

A spring snow storm provided us with some much needed moisture but in the form of snow rather than rain.

Here's a list of reports from spotters throughout northeast Kansas. Note there may be different measurements taken throughout the city, these are the highest reports within the city:

Topeka Billard: 6.2"
Forbes Field: 8.4"

Quenemo: 9"
Lyndon: 8.5"
Lawrence: 7"
Emporia: 6"
Auburn: 6"
Eskridge: 5.6"
Ozawkie: 5"
Ottawa: 5"
Herington: 5"
Manhattan: 4.5"
Concordia: 1.8"

KDOT crews cleared I-70 on Sunday morning, so two lanes are clear and open. Roads were reported to be in icy conditions Sunday morning.

Topeka Police and Shawnee County Sheriff's are in Phase III accident reporting. They will only report to hit and runs, accidents with disabling vehicle damage and injury accidents. All others should be reported at the Law Enforcement Center at your earliest convenience.
