Woman Raped, Burned, And Killed In Wichita Graduated Shawnee Heights H.S.

WICHITA, Kan. (WIBW)-- The woman who died after being raped, beaten, and set on fire in a Wichita, Kansas, park last week originally hailed from northeast Kansas.

Thirty-six year-old Letitia Davis died on Saturday, a little more than a week after she was attacked in Wichita's Fairmont Park.

Davis was living in Wichita, but school officials confirmed she graduated from Shawnee Heights High School in 1996.

The man accused of killing her, 26 year-old Cornell McNeal is charged with Capital Murder, Rape, and Arson.

McNeal is scheduled to be back in court for preliminary hearing on December 4, 2014. His bond is set at $250,000.
