Wichita Teen Shot At During Possible Road Rage Incident

Wichita, Kan. -- A Wichita teen is left shaken after she was shot at Sunday afternoon in south Wichita.

It began shortly before 12:30 p.m. Sunday near Pawnee and Gold. The teen, who has asked not to be identified for her safety, tells KAKE News that she was driving in the area, when another car quickly pulled out of a parking lot and began to follow her.

"When I hit this bump, it was like really loud. But then i was like, 'he shot at me, he shot at me.' cause it hit my door and i could hear it."

The teen called 911 as she tried to get away from the suspect. Eventually she was able to lose the other vehicle.

Wichita Police confirmed to KAKE News that the incident happened and that police were able to recover a bullet from the inside of her door.

The victim was unable to get a good look at the suspect or the vehicle. She, along with police, are asking anyone with information to contact police.
