Topeka, Kan. (WIBW)_ Topeka police have a warning for you, if you are confronted by a robber, armed with a shotgun.

Shoppers and employees at the Wal-Mart in north Topeka faced that situation Wednesday around 4 a.m., as the robbers tried to get away with electronics.

Topeka Police Sergeant Ron Gish says individual and business robberies usually increase during the holiday season.

Gish recommends cooperating, so the suspect will hopefully leave as soon as possible. He says do whatever you can to make sure the suspect does not take you with them.

Gish also recommends not trying try to be a hero, because more suspects could be elsewhere.

Police believe the two suspects in Wednesday's robbery got away in a tan vehicle.
