Wet roads from the heavy rain may have caused an accident on I-70 Thursday morning that sent a person to the hospital.
The Kansas Turnpike authority says that around 7:50 a.m. a car was traveling down westbound I-70 just east of Topeka when it hydroplaned, slid off the interstate and crashed into a rock embankment.
KTA says that one person was taken to St Francis, however the extent of their injuries is not known.
Crews cleared the scene about an hour later.
