TOPEKA, Kansas (WIBW) -- A water main break cut off water to several buildings in downtown Topeka Tuesday morning.
The City of Topeka's water department told 13 News that the main broke near the intersection of 4th & Quincy around 5 a.m.
The break would force water shut-offs in buildings in the area, including the post office and the Law Enforcement Center.
The department says trucks with sand and salt have been called in to help keep the road near the break from freezing over.
They said fixing the break could take five to six hours.
