Washburn University Held An Open House At Mabee Library

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- The Ichabod campus welcomed the community to an open house.

Guests were invited to see the recent renovations at Mabee Library and the Center for Student Success.

Washburn President, Dr. Jerry Farley was on hand to show off renovations to the library. From an expanded group study space, digital classroom and an enhanced tutoring and writing center on the top floor.

"You know libraries have changed so much over the last decade, really in the last few years. In the past they have just been an repository of materials, books, periodicals. But today they are the center of our current efforts to create success, academic success for our students," Farley.

In addition to the new renovations, Mabee Library expanded its hours to meet student demand.
