Washburn Students Take A Journey Into Space For Homecoming

The annual Washburn University Homecoming Parade welcomed the community to celebrate school spirit as they marched around campus...

Earlier this week students from different campus organizations decorated Kansas Avenue storefront windows, danced at the Homecoming Ball and participated in other events to celebrate more than 140 years of school tradition.

For some students, Homecoming is the best time of year. Caitlin Eshelman, a Washburn Dancing Blue, said that participating in school activities brings students together.

"I feel like being a part of an organization and being able to do things like the Homecoming parade is part of the college experience," Eshelman said. "If everyone joins in it's a lot more fun."

Today the Ichabods took on the rival Northwest Missouri State Bearcats at 1 p.m.
