TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - More than 70 vintage aircraft from the 1930s and 1940s landed in Topeka for the weekend.
The Warbirds and Legends event kicked off Friday at Topeka Regional Airport at Forbes Field.
Attendees are able to touch, feel and view different aircraft, plus see some of them take to the skies in air shows. Pilots, military veterans and collectors are also on hand to give tours of their planes and demonstrate them.
Organizers call the show and display a living history.
The event continues from9 am to 6 pm Saturday and Sunday, with airshows from 1 to 3 pm each day. Admission is $15 for adults and $9 for children. Veterans are free.
