TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- A former Washburn Rural basketball star, already on probation for two felony convictions just last month. Will be back in court this week on new charges.
Lasharra Riley was sentenced to 4 years in prison on assault and battery charges, but placed on 36 months probation on September 4th.
13 news has learned Riley now faces 10 new felony burglary and theft charges in a new complaint filed October 11th.
Riley led Washburn Rural to the 2009 State Basketball Championship and went to Oklahoma State on a scholarship. She transferred to UMKC before dropping out.
Riley will be in court Thursday for a docket hearing to decide further court dates. She had been warned a violation of her September parole would likely lead to jail time.
