WWE Makes Clay Center Boy's Wish Come True

(WIBW) - A Clay Center boy had his wish come true Monday night in front of a worldwide audience.

Eight-year-old Luke Hauserman is fighting leukemia. He and his family, parents Anjanette and Chris and older brother Kale, were special guests of John Cena for Monday's WWE "Raw" show in St. Louis, shown live on the USA network.

The Make-a-Wish Foundation made it possible. Luke and two other boys had a private meeting with "The Champ," then had front row seats for the show. Their meeting was shown during a special segment of the three-hour broadcast drawing attention to Tuesday's World Make-a-Wish Day. The pre-recorded segment was followed by a live shot of the boys and their families waving from their prime seats.

Cena now has granted 404 wishes - more than any other celebrity. World Make-a-Wish Day celebrates the wish 30 yeras ago that inspired the organization which grants wishes of children facing life-threatening medical conditions.

Luke continues treatment. His family shares their story on the Facebook page, Pray for Luke.

If you'd like to help the Hauserman family, you may send donations in care of Luke Hauserman to United Bank and Trust, 502 Lincoln Ave. P.O. Box 514, Clay Center, KS 67432.
