TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The concert came to the kids Tuesday!
The Washburn University Faculty Music Ensemble made the rounds of Topeka Public Schools. McCarter, McEachron and McClure elementary schools hosted the group Tuesday. Avondale West, Highland Park Central and Ross were on the agenda for Wednesday.
The music teachers are hoping their skills spark interest among students to develop their own musical talent. Washburn works with Topeka Public Schools on an after-school music program. Lessons begin at the end of January.
