BONNER SPRINGS, Kan. (WIBW)-- A semi on fire on the Kansas Turnpike caused traffic problems Wednesday morning.

The rig was on fire in an eastbound lane of I-70, blocking traffic from exiting the eastern terminal west of Bonner Springs.

The left lanes of the roadway were being cleared around 10:30 a.m. Traffic was expected to be flowing through the area shortly after.

An official cause of the fire had not been released Wednesday morning.

Turnpike officials said minor injuries were reported.
