TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A popular ventriloquist and stand-up comedian has made a large donation to a local cause.
Jeff Dunham donated $2,500 to the first Kansas Law Enforcement Run To Remember, put on by the Fraternal Order of Police Auxiliary Lodge No. 3.
He also donated a signed ventriloquist doll to be auctioned off at the run.
Dunham was in Topeka on Saturday for a performance at the Expocentre.
Auxiliary President Sarah Jepson tells 13 News in an email that an off duty deputy working the show mentioned the run to Dunham's manager. The manager left and came back with a check and the doll.
The run will be held on May 4 at Lake Shawnee's Tinman Circle.
