TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)- Four people were hospitalized today after a van crashed into a cell phone store in northwest Emporia.
KVOE reports that shortly after noon a mini van crashed through the south entrance of the Verizon wireless store.
As many as 10 people were in the store at the time.
Three people were taken to Newman Regional Health by ambulance with one person being hit and dragged out of the store. With the driver, Doris Simon, 52, of Emporia taken by a private vehicle.
None of the injuries are said to be life threatening.
Officials say an undetermined medical condition is the likely cause of the accident.
Plans for the store to reopen won't be finalized until early next week.
