NEW CENTURY, Kan. (WIBW) -- Think you have what it takes to be a deputy in Kansas? Did you know herding cows was in the job description -- or at least it was for these Johnson Co. deputies.

According to the sheriff's office's Facebook page, the cows wandered up to the entrance of the New Century jail. The ultimate understatement came about halfway through the first video when the sheriff's office noted how glad they were that the automatic doors weren't installed.

Fortunately for us though, it didn't end there. Officials posted a second video showing them trying to round up the cows, including an effort to use a bridge as a chute that didn't end quite as they hoped.
