Unknown Shooter Sends Junction City Man To Hospital

JUNCTION CITY (WIBW) -- A Junction City man was taken to the hospital early Saturday morning after he was shot by an unknown man.

Around 2:40 a.m. Saturday morning, Junction City police officers were called to the area of 52 Riley Manor Circle on a report of shots fired. They learned that a man had been brought to the Geary Community Hospital emergency room suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim is identified as 25-year-old Isaac Johnson. He was later transported to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka and is in stable condition.

Johnson told officers he was shot by an unknown black male while walking in the area of 51 Riley Manor Circle.

Officers cannot provide identification of the suspect and are actively working the case.
