Union Members Come Out For United Way

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Local workers are already helping the United Way's annual fundraising campaign.

The Topeka labor unions and their members hosted a kick-off event on Thursday to show their support for the United Way and their entire Topeka community.

The reception and dinner is held every year and dinner so union members can get information on what is going on with the United Way.

The group also presented the annual "Nathan Cave Community Services Award" to Topeka City Councilman Chad Manspeaker for their help and compassion for the needs of others.
