Underage Drinking Sting Results In Five Citations

Topeka, Kan. (WIBW) - Five citations were issued during an underage drinking sting.

The citations were issued during the operation Thursday. The results were announced Monday.

Two administrative citations for the sale of alcohol to a minor were issued and three for furnishing alcohol to a minor.

Out of 19 controlled buys made at liquor licensee businesses, two sold to minors. New City Cafe, 4005 SW Gage Center Drive, and Meyer Retail Liquor, 5610 SW 29th Street, sold to people underage.

Safe Streets conducted the sting along with the Alcoholic Beverage Control and the Topeka Police Department.
