Surveillance Video: Two Clerks Shot In Store Robbery

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Two Topeka convenience store clerk's continue to recover, after being shot during an armed robbery Saturday morning.

Topeka Police say Kenneth M. Ray, Jr., 30, and Evette N. Vice, 32, were in stable condition Monday.

Police were on the scene, after the robbery at 810 S.E.15th around 6:20 a.m. Saturday.

Police say a suspect came into the Phillip's Gas Station, at Hudson Crossing and shot the two clerks. The clerks were taken to the hospital and the manager says that they were both conscious at the time.

An employee says a male clerk was shot four times, and a female clerk was shot twice.

Police say the suspect was wearing dark clothing and took off northbound.

Police are looking at surveillance video.
