TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW-TV) Police are investigating a hit and run accident that put two people in the hospital.
Topeka Police say around 8:40 p.m. Tuesday night, officers were called to 2505 SE Pennsylvania on a reported injury accident.
They say two men were getting out of their parked car when they were hit by a Silver 2007 Chevy Malibu that was heading south in reverse.
One of the men was driven to Stormont-Vail with significant leg injuries. The other was taken by by ambulance to St. Francis with a possible broken hip and other internal injuries.
Police later found the car empty at 2528 SE Pennsylvania.
