JEFFERSON COUNTY, Kan. (WIBW) - Two people are behind bars in connection with a marijuana growing operation.

The Jefferson County sheriff's office says an investigation led to the October 4th arrests of Jeremiah Teller and Michael Fuller.

In September, hunters reported a "weed grow" on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers ground in Valley Falls.

Authorities say they seized 172 marijuana plants around the residence.

Both men were booked on charges including unlawful cultivation or distribution of a controlled substance, and drug possession.

Both are held on a $100,000 bond.
