Two Arrested After Junction City Drug Bust

JUNCTION CITY, Kan. (WIBW) - A search warrant landed two Junction City men in jail Wednesday night.

The Junction City-Geary County Drug Operations Group, along with assistance from the Kansas Highway Patrol, Junction City/Geary County SWAT, and local uniformed law enforcement officers, executed two search warrants at 1919 Northwind Drive Lot #2, and 1501 Dean St., in Junction City.

Both were arrested for Conspiracy to Distribute Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, No Kansas Drug Tax Stamp, Felony Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

As a result, officers arrest 28 year-old Steven Parks and 35 year-old Matthew Redding for multiple drug-related crimes.

The Drug Operations Group seized marijuana with an estimated street value of $43,000 and a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban.

Both men were confined at the Geary County Detention Center pending their first appearance in the Geary County District Court.
