Two Armed Robberies Reported Within Minutes Of Each Other

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Topeka police are asking for help in locating suspects involved in two different armed robberies Wednesday night.

Police were called to the Baskin Robbins at 4400 SW 21st just before 9:30 p.m. Employees say two subjects robbed the business at gunpoint before leaving the area on foot.

The two are described as black males, about 6'0" weighing 145-180 pounds. Both were wearing dark hoodies, ski masks and dark pants.

Less than half an hour later, a second robbery was reported at the Quick Stop at 1107 SW 6th. Employees say a man wearing a ski mask robbed them at gunpoint before getting into a silver, four door vehicle. He was last seen heading east.

Police do not yet know if the two robberies are connected. Anyone with any information is asked to call Detectives at 368-9400 or Crime Stoppers at 234-0007.
