Two Suspects Tied To Multiple Robberies Arrested

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Officers responded to a report of a robbery at the Warren House Apartments around 7:50 p.m. Tuesday night. A Topeka man told police that two people he knew threatened him with an edged weapon, took his cell phone and left the area. The man was not injured.

Authorities identified the two suspects as 20 year-old Austin Rogers and 29 year-old Lindsay Self, both of Topeka.

Police said thier descriptions matched the descriptions of two individuals who entered an attached garage of a home in the 2400 block of S.W. Rother Road late Sunday night or early Monday morning and stole a 2012 Honda Odyssey Van with a purse inside.

Police say Rogers and Self used the stolen financial cards from the purse at various places in Topeka.

Officers found Rogers and Self in the 1800 block of N.W. Winter Road and charged the two with aggravated burglary, unlawful use of financial cards and aggravated robbery. Police also found the stolen property from both robberies, but are still searching for the stolen silver Honda Odyssey Van with license plate # 626EHY.
