Trial Delayed For Woman Accused Of Abandoning Baby

EMPORIA, Kan. (WIBW) - The trial for an Emporia woman accused of abandoning her newborn baby in a trash is again delayed.

KVOE Radio reports attorneys are looking into Christina Devine's diagnosis with a genetic disorder -- Neurofibromatosis - that causes tumors in the nervous system.

Devine was charged with attempted first-degree murder after her baby was found alive in a trash bin at an Emporia apartment complex last October.

Her trial is now set for August 15th.
