TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The trial date for a man accused of kidnapping and killing a little girl in Topeka has been postponed again.
Billy Davis faces charges including capital murder, rape and aggravated kidnapping for the death of 8-year-old Ahliyah Irvin in March 2012.
Police say Davis took her from an apartment to a nearby apartment where he was staying, then raped and killed her, stuffing her body in a clothes dryer.
His trial was set for October. it's now delayed until April 7, 2014 and is expected to last four weeks.
If convicted, Davis could face the death penalty.
