TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The trial for a man accused of murdering his mother has been postponed until the fall.
Jason Hachmeister waived his right to a speedy trial during a hearing Friday.
His trial was delayed once before in October. It's now slated to begin September 9.
Hachmeister is charged with premeditated first degree murder in the death of his mother Sheila on September 10, 2011 at the home they shared.
Hachmeister pleaded not guilty to the charges at his preliminary hearing in August.
He's also charged with more than 100 counts of child pornography in a separate case.
