TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Some special students took a big step toward their future goals Wednesday.
Topeka Public Schools board president Patrick Woods and superintendent Dr. Julie Ford were on hand to give the 2013 class at Hope Street Academy their diplomas in front of a packed house. Friends and family were on hand for this special occasion that signified a huge step for many in the graduating class.
Hope Street Academy is USD 501's charter school. The district's other high schools will hold graduation ceremonies this weekend.
