TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Topekans were transported back to the 1920s today with an expert who knows all about the era.
Kirk Curnett put on a multi media presentation today at the Topeka and Shawnee County Library,all about the Great Gasby. He presented a piece of literary work that many believe represents the spirit of the 20s.
Curnett discussed F. Scott Fitzgerald's message throughout the novel and what critics had to say about it. He also went into the author's personal life, his marriage and other written works.
Curnett has become an expert on Fitzgerald and how his works made the 20's an era that is still relevant today. The presentation was part of the big read event. The library was one of 78 organizations to take part in this year.
