Topekans Helping With Tornado Relief

By  |

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)--Volunteers with Topeka's Red Cross loaded up and headed out to help victims of the Moore, Oklahoma tornado Tuesday morning.

Bob Burke and Jerry McVey are taking the agency's emergency response vehicle.

Their first priority is to help with shelter, then provide food and emotional support for tornado victims.

WIBW-TV and our sister station KAKE in Wichita have teamed up with Dillons stores across Kansas and the Red Cross to help victims.

You can donate at any Dillons store between Topeka and Wichita through June 8th by purchasing a $5 or $10 cash card, dropping coins in boxes in the stores or by rounding the bill up to the nearest dollar.
