TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A Topeka resident says he was targeted by scammers.
A 13 News viewer says two men came to his door Thursday claiming to be with Protection One. The viewer says the men told him they needed to look at his keypad, claiming the software was not up to date.
The viewer said he was suspicious because he had not heard anything from the company about a potential problem.
The men were driving a black newer model sedan with Iowa plates.
The viewer contacted Protection One and was told that the company would notify residents if they were coming to the home.
