Schultz pleaded no contest, and was convicted Monday of one count of involuntary manslaughter, reckless, a level five person felony; one count of felony driving under the influence, a non-grid felony; and one count of leaving the scene of an accident involving a death, a level nine person felony.

Schultz said in court Monday,"Mr. Roberts is dead because of me and I'm willing to take full responsibility for that."

His bail was set at 100-thousand dollars. Sentencing is set for June 2nd.

He has three prior DUI convictions. Two of those happened in 2000.

The decision to file charges was made following an investigation by the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Department and the Topeka Police Department.
