TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-The Topeka Zoo announced Thursday that it will be hosting a snappy new exhibit.

In honor of Groundhog day on Saturday, instead of pulling a groundhog from a stump, zoo organizers surprisingly pulled out a baby alligator to represent their new exhibit.

The exhibit, "Alligator Frenzy... A Bayou Adventure" will feature 40-50 American alligators, along with a rare 7-foot Albino Alligator. Visitors will have the chance to feed and touch the smaller alligators.

It will open May 9th through September 30th. Adults are invited the Saturday before the May 9th opening for a sneak preview.
