A Topeka woman found her 2 horses after they went missing on New Year's Eve.
Amy Kenworthy told 13 News she was going to feed her 2 horses when she noticed they were missing at 9:30 Tuesday night.
She realized portions of her fence were cut out in 2 separate areas. She also noticed driving tracks in the snow. She filed a report with the Shawnee County Sheriff's department.
Kenworthy searched all night and it wasn't until Wednesday morning she found her horses in a open field near 44th and Stonecrest Drive.
"I was very maddened and angry that someone would do this. It is very dangerous to let horses out like that, cars can hit them or they can hit people," said Kenworthy.
Kenworthy also said a neighbor who also owns horses noticed their fence was cut on Monday. Kenworthy says this may be an ongoing problem and it needs to stop.
Kenworthy says she is offering a $1,000 reward for any information on who did this.
