TOPEKA, Kan (WIBW)-- A Topeka teen will be tried as an adult on charges that he injured a baby.
Koylen McKinney was 17 years old when he was arrested in April for Aggravated Battery, Abuse of a Child and Aggravated Endangerment of a Child.
Jackson County Attorney Shawna Miller says McKinney, now 18, waived his juvenile status during a hearing Thursday.
A preliminary hearing in adult court is set for August 27th.
McKinney is accused of harming a seven month old child who was found unresponsive at a Holton apartment complex.
The baby was airlifted to a Kansas City area hospital for treatment...
