Topeka Residents And Graduates Gather On Topeka High School Lawn

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)__ Residents and graduates gathered on the lawn of Topeka High School for some music and a dedication Sunday evening.

The 12th Annual Music From The Tower kicked off with the dedication and ribbon cutting of Trojan Plaza.

Graduates from the classes of 1957, 1959, 1961, 1962 and 1964 contributed to some part of the plaza that sits out front of the school.

Jerry Anderson, class of 1957 played a chimes concert for attendees using the historical THS Deagan Chimes. He played favorites like Battle Hymn of the Republic, The Marines Hymn, Danny Boy and many others.

Attendees also got to enjoy a complimentary cup of Brown Bread Custard from G's Frozen Custard.

This event was put together by the Topeka High School Historical Society.
