Topeka Pools Prepare To End Season

TOPEKA, Kan (WIBW)-- Shawnee County Parks and Rec has confirmed that Topeka area pools will either close or reduce hours beginning this Sunday.

With fewer plus 100 degree days than average crowds were done some from past years but still experienced what was described as good crowds.

The family aquatic centers and pools at Garfield, Hillcrest, Oakland, Rossville, Shawnee North and Lake Shawnee Swim Beach will close for the season Sunday afternoon August 8th.

This year, Blaisdell Family Aquatic Center at Gage Park will be open weekends from Noon to 7 p.m. through September 1st.
