From Topeka Police:

On February 8th 2012, a small urn was turned into the property and evidence room at the Topeka Police Department as a lost and found item. The item had been recovered in the 600 block of SW Harrison.

Six months after receiving the item, the property department was able to get rid of the item, but chose to keep it and search for an owner, due to the personal nature of the property.

The urn is small and is likely used to hold either pet ashes, infant ashes, or adult human ashes that have been divided up among multiple individuals.

Anyone seeking to claim the urn will be asked to describe the external colors and markings for verification. The owner of this urn is asked to contact Janine Rhone, Property Supervisor at 368-9210.
