(WIBW) - A Topeka man will spend seven years in prison for his part in an armed robbery in Lawrence.
Mario King pleaded guilty to one count of unlawful possession of a firearm in furtherance of armed robbery.
He admitted that, last June, he used a .357 revolver in an armed robbery in a McDonalds parking lot on West 6th Street in Lawrence. Prosecutors say the victim met King and another man at the restaurant to sell them marijuana and King drew his gun on the victim.
The man was ran into the restaurant to get help, but, while inside, the drugs and some of his belongings were stolen.
Two others also were charged in the case. Justin Alcorn is awaiting sentencing, while Jesse Forbes heads to trial May 19th.
