Topeka Man Breaks Into Kansas State Rep's Office

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)--State Representative Tom Sloan arrived into his office early Friday morning after Kansas Highway Patrol arrested a man who had broken in just hours before.

Officers responded to an alarm around 1:30 a.m. to a man resting on top of Sloan's desk.

Officers arrested 30-year-old Giovanni Ronald Barcelona of Topeka. Barcelona was arrested for criminal damage to property and criminal trespassing. He is being held in the Shawnee County Jail on $3,500 bond.

Barcelona was released from jail on April 4th. He was being held on a bench warrant.
