TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Hotel and restaurant employees learned more about the Capital City they help promote.

Visit Topeka hosted a "Know Your City" tour Tuesday so hospitality workers can suggest sites and activities to guests they may encounter in their jobs.

The tour began at the Kansas Children's Discovery Center and made stops at Old Prairie Town, the Combat Air Museum and the Statehouse. Several tour participants even climbed the steps all the way to the top of the dome.

Participants on the tour say it's a great way to relay the message on the abundance of opportunities offered in Topeka. Attendees also went over the Topeka Visitors Guide so they can help provide visitors with family friendly options in the Capital City.
