TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)__ It was a tour that would bring the history of Topeka to life for those who attended.
The Friends of Historic Topeka Cemetery held an open house and tour.
Participants took a horse-drawn carriage ride through the cemetery, which is home to many famous Kansans.
The Crane mausoleum was open to view and served up refreshments.
Also attending the event was Topeka Cemetery Organizer Franklin Crane, or rather a look-alike.
Some of the other famed names on the tour included Cyrus K. Holliday, Vice President Charles Curtis who served under Herbert Hoover, engineer and abolitionist John Ritchie, Arthur Capper and E.G. Ross to name a few.
