TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Topeka's Airport Authority is crossing the final "T's" in bringing air service to the Capital City.

The MTAA Board approved spending $32,000 for an environmental impact study.

It will examine any potential issues, such as noise concerns, with daily arrivals and departures of regional jets from Topeka Regional Airport at Forbes Field.

United plans to launch the service between Topeka and Chicago January 7th. The same firm working on the long-range plan for Billard Airport will do the study.
