TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Authorities say three people suffered minor injures after a semi rolled over on eastbound I-70 just west of Valencia Road around 12:30 a.m. Thursday. All three people injured were riding in the cab of the truck, according to police.
Officials from the Shawnee County Fire Department and the Shawnee County Sheriff's Office were on scene assisting with cleanup early Thursday morning.
Authorities were still working Thursday to determined what caused the driver to veer into a median. He was pinned behind the steering wheel and had to be extricated.
The driver and two passengers were taken to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
Both lanes in each direction of I-70 were closed while crews worked the accident. The highway was reopened by 6 a.m. Thursday morning.
