TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Dancers with the Metropolitan Ballet of Topeka grace the stage at the Topeka Performing Arts Center this weekend in a performance that's a Christmas favorite.
The annual production of The Nutcracker features Katherine Lawrence, principal dancer with Salt Lake City's Ballet West as the Sugar Plum Fairy.
Lawrence was the featured dancer on the CW's hit reality show Breaking Pointe.
Other guest starts included her husband Aaron Orlowski and Cincinnati Ballet dancer Selahattin Erkan.
The Nutcracker is led by newly appointed artistic directors Stephanie Heston and Alexander Smirnov.
