FORT LAUDERDALE, Fl. (CBS) - A Florida charter school teacher is accused of forcing a 10-year-old student to unclog a urinal with his hands.

The teacher, Jennifer Forshey, is charged with battery on a child by exposing the boy to urine, according to CBS Miami.

Forshey, a third-grade teacher at the Broward Community Charter School West in Coral Springs, ordered the child to remove urine-soaked paper towels with which she thought he had clogged the urinal, according to police.

"Victims hands were saturated in what smelled like urine from the urinal and the paper towel that was in the urinal," the police report said.

Forshey did not provide the boy with any safety equipment to clean the urinal, nor was there any soap in the bathroom to wash his hands, police said.

Especially at schools where we drop our kids off and we think that they’re safe and in good hands," one parent, Tonia Jusino, told CBS Miami. "It makes me, as a parent, a little scared, a little worried, because once I leave here what goes on inside the school."

Forshey showed no remorse, according to the police report.

"She only thinks what she did was wrong because she is in trouble for it," the report said. "Otherwise, she does not see anything wrong with exposing a child to urine."

The owners of the school, the Leona Group, refused to comment.

"I didn’t do anything illegal," Forshey told CBS Miami as she left jail on bond Thursday morning.
