The US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) unveils a set of new scanning machines that are able to tell if a boarding pass and ID are counterfit. They are being tested at Dulles Airport near Washington, DC. on Friday, April 13, 2012.
TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Travelers can leave their shoes and belts on, and keep their laptop in its case when going through security all thanks to a TSA pre-check center.
The TSA announced the opening of a pre-check center near 37th and Southwest Wanamaker Monday. According to the Kaw Valley Paramedical Services website, "walk-ins are available on Fridays only from 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. & 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m."

The center allows U.S. citizens and permanent residents to go through a pre-enrollment process online. They then visit the application center to validate their membership.
TSA is currently adding more than 300 application centers across the country.
