TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Topeka Police are investigating a homicide that occurred near the Law Enforcement Center.
Lt. Ron Gish says a report came in at 4:38 pm Tuesday. Officers found a man dead at 200 SE Quincy, that's a bus station known as Autobuses Los Paisonos.
Gish says a witness told police he heard a shot and found the victim. Officers and emergency medical personnel arrived and confirmed the victim had been shot and was dead.
The victim's name has not been released. Authorities are working to make positive identification and notify next of kin.

This was the second shooting death of the afternoon in Topeka. Police also are investigating a person found shot and killed in a vehicle at an apartment complex in the 5300 block of SW 10th.
