Armed Suspect Waits For Customers To Leave, Robs Quick Stop

TOPEKA, Kansas (WIBW) -- A Quick Stop gas station at 1020 N.W. Topeka Blvd. is recovering from a late night robbery Monday night.

The armed robbery was reported to police around 10:35 p.m. The clerk said a male suspect waited for customers to leave the store, showed his gun and demanded money from the clerk.

The suspect was last seen running south from the business. It is unknown if he was on foot or got in a car.

The suspect is described as either a white or hispanic male, about 5'9'', 180 pounds, wearing a royal blue jacket. He is reported to have a shaved head with a triangular patch in the front.

There were no shots fired and no injuries.

Topeka Police are asking anyone with information about the robbery or suspect to call Crime Stoppers at 234-0007.
